Adjustable Wheelchair For Legs

I am so happy with my little dogs new wheelchair! I have a 3 year old 12 lb Havanese/Bichon mix that came down with IVDD (intervertabral Disc Disease) and is paralyzed from the waist down. I looked at all of the wheelchairs and this one appeared to be adequate and affordable. We put him in it this morning for the first time and he seemed to really like it. It was very easy to adjust to fit my little pup. I'm sure that in no time he'll be running laps with the rest of the dogs again.

This is the second chair I've bought for my dog. This is so much better than the other brand. My only issues are that the chest harness seems to hit in the wrong spot on his chest. I think he would be able to run easier if it was deeper. The second issue is his feet don't want to stay in the stirups. He's a miniature dachshund and has a deep chest and of course the short legs. I'm trying to come up with a solution

This is a wonderful thing. Our little tuxedo is a chihuahua mix that pulled the short end of the genetic stick. His rear knees are completely shot. He is a high risk for surgery as he is so wee. He was able to take a few wobbly steps forward and then would collapse on his rear. Look at him go here! It has taken hours of adjustments so be patient. You have to adjust length, width and account for comfort and that has taken us over the course of a couple of days. So well worth it!!!
